The Insulting Kim Kardashian Trend

So everyone on the face of the earth knows about Kim K filing for divorce 72 days after marrying Kris Humphries. All major media outlets are making a killing from spreading stories regarding it. I have read various articles about them, but what really fascinates me is the pure hatred that is coming from the comments at the bottom of the articles. So I have to ask… Is it a growing trend to hate Kim Kardashian?
Kim Kardashian is known as a reality star on the E! network. On Facebook.com I recently read that there was a website, boycottkim.com. That wants her reality show, keeping up with the Kardashians cancelled. The website also wants people to boycott all products endorsed by The Kardashians and the retailers that supply those products. boycottkim.com, goes as far as to compare Kim K to the KKK, “With the help of a small army of publicists, managers, and the rest of the Kim Kardashian Klan (KKK), Kim Kardashian continues to spew a constant stream of self-promoting propaganda, insulting Americans and increasing her financial wealth.”.
Then Michael Buble mentioned Kim Kardashian at a concert. Saying “Please welcome Kim Kardashian [to the stage]……Nah, just f---ing with you! That bitch isn't coming on my stage.” He went on the dedicate the next song he performed (Feeling Good by Nina Simone) to Kim’s soon to be ex-husband Kris Humphries. I wonder if Buble even knows Kim or Kris, or why he feels it is his business. He is a famous musician I just don’t know why he would sink so low as to mock someone in front of his fans. I can’t help but feel that maybe he wanted to put his name out there to gain more publicity, considering Kim K is making the media outlets so much money right now.
Another example of someone illogically hating Kim, is creative director and star of Sundance's All on the Line, Joe Zee. He states that he has no reason at all to put her on the cover of Elle Magazine, even though her and her family have been in the magazine several times. The reason he gives is that Kim has nothing going on, that she is just a reality star, Even though Kim has her own clothing line and store. Not to mention he put Lauren Conrad (Reality tv Star of The Hills) on the anniversary cover of Elle.
"We put Lauren Conrad on the cover of our anniversary issue and she did very well. Listen, Kim [Kardashian] is a big cover star out there and if Kim had something going on in her life right now — Kim's very quiet — I just wish that she would do something, but she's not doing anything. If she actually did something, we would actually think about Kim for the cover. It's about new. It's not about, so much, a reality star. The idea is, are they newsworthy? Is it someone our readers want to read about?" -Joe Zee (Full Article http://nymag.com)
I am not a fan of Kim Kardashian. I am just trying to think critically, why are people so angry with her. It seems the media always has a celebrity to pick on e.i. Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus. I am just shocked how blindly people are following.
….So I’ve got to ask again … Is it a growing trend to hate Kim Kardashian?

i dont care about the kardashians but what i have observed is that all their haters are so fascinated by them. They are always waiting to throw negative on comments on everything this family does. Looks like the haters wish they are the one who are living kardashian's lives

I don't think people have blindly hated Kim Kardashian and I only use hate in the context of how most people use the word. I don't like that word at all unless it applies to something absolute like crime or moral depravity. The 72-day marriage was the final straw that broke the camel's back. She was always known for taking advantage of situations she says were organic (like the sex tape) and then "acting" like it was embarrassing and horrendous. But then she parlays her brand off of it, which is smart but it's also tacky. She then goes to try to act private in her personal affairs but then does something like televise her wedding for profit (which she claims she didn't). It's too much hypocrisy. And in these times of people who have college educations, extensive training, and just trying to pay the bills struggling it's offensive and classless. Not only that but the vast materialism she has personified through the thing with the ring and the wedding gifts, it just rubs people the wrong way. I have no problem with smart business or even trying to create new ventures, but the way she portrays herself is too much in this day and age. Voted up and interesting.
